A push for the slow real estate season

Buyers have seemed a bit non-committal in the last couple of weeks so I’m excited about the news to finally come from the Hill that the bill passed and the first-time buyer tax credit will continue until April 30, 2010.  Plus the additional incentive for those who have been in their homes for the past five years to get out there and look too is very encouraging.  Here are the details from the National Association of Realtors with some great links to frequently asked questions and more.

Congress will extend and expand the homebuyer tax credit to continue stimulating the housing sector of the economy. The Senate voted 98-0 on Wednesday and yesterday the House voted 403-12 on legislation that includes the extension and expansion of the credit. The President signed the legislation today, Friday, November 6.

This is a great victory for the economy, for homebuyers, and for all of you in real estate.
